WWE WRESTLEMANIA 34 BLOG AND MATCH RESULTS
Keep it locked in here all night for the latest match results and reactions as Brock fights Roman, AJ battles Shinsuke, Asuka takes on Charlotte, Ronda Rousey debuts, and Daniel Bryan makes his triumphant return to the ring!
While most of us thought the AJ/Nakamura or the Daniel Bryan match would open the show, this was still a sturdy quality opening bout. Miz was all business, with his Luna Lovegood glasses and Naruto-ish headband, telling the Miztourage to go in the back. Seth got came out all frosty with White Walker-blue contacts. Finn had a wonderful warming LGBT squad cheer him on to the ring. It's was strong pageant-filled opener.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
That was a fun appetizer. Not too salty, not too sweet. Bray Wyatt came out in the final moments when Matt Hardy was facing down former winners Mojo Rawley and Baron Corbin and then after helping Matt win the trophy they hugged it out and are now the bestest of best friends! YAAAAAAAAY!
Winner: Broken/Woken Matt Hardy
Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Bálor

It was Seth who'd come out on top at the end with two Curb Stomps, the second one nailing Miz for the pin and win.
Winner, and new Intercontinental Champion: Seth Rollins
United States Champion Randy Orton vs. Bobby Roode vs Jinder Mahal vs. Rusev

Not only did this Fatal Fourway become the first match of the night we only sort of half-payed attention to because we're thinking about Cena vs. Undertaker, but it was my first correct match prediction of the night! I think!
Rusev should have won here, due to the fact that the Rusev Day chants are this year's "YES!" chants (the "YES!" chants are also the "YES!" chants by the way), but WWE doesn't particularly, or automatically, support wonderful ironic crowd-created things that they didn't purposefully sprout themselves.
Anyhow, this one was okay. Nowhere near as great as the first two bouts, but fine. Jinder took the win here, proving Opposite Momentum to be scientifically correct and accurate and right. Of course though, he pinned Rusev. Lolz for days.
Winner, and new U.S. Champion: Jinder Mahal
Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey vs. Triple H & Stephanie McMahon

Ronda really seemed to find her ring presence here. From her walk to the ring in Roddy Piper-inspired gear to her overall presence and movement in there. She was all smiles while walking down the ramp but then really adopted a cool intensity in the ring that didn't feel like "acting." Seeing Kurt return in his signature singlet was fun, but all eyes were on Rousey here and everyone in the match knew that and catered to it. There were a dozen fun moments throughout, from Ronda's first assault on Steph to her mini-battle with Hunter.
Ronda finally caught slippery Steph in an armbar and that's all she wrote.
Winners: Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle
Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

YES! YES! YES!
No swerves. No betrayal. WWE could have thrown a few twists into this one but they were smart enough let it play out super traditionally with no funny business. Daniel Bryan came back, beloved by all, leading 70 thousand plus in "YES!" chants and won the match for his team with the Yes Lock.
Even the hot tag made to Bryan at the midway point, after Shane had gotten thrashed for a long while, was played differently than - say - Ronda's hot tag. Bryan didn't rush into the ring, he slowly walked in and soaked up the adoration and then took Owens and Zayn apart.
Winners: Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon
Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns

Roman came with a lot more fight this time around. He got tossed around but it wasn't the utter obliteration that Mania 31 was. Still...he survived FIVE F-5's. That's right, all year Brock has been defeating everyone, from Joe to Braun to Roman himself, with just ONE F-5.
Roman fell to Miz's finisher a few months ago and now he endures 200 Brock moves. Lolz forever.
BUT, the biggest moment came right at the end when Roman started pouring blood(!!!) and got dropped...by one final F-5.
Yup, Brock won it. Roman just CAN'T beat Brock. It actually created a perverse greatness to this weird final bout.
Winner, and still WWE Universal Champion: Brock Lesnar
